I like that it cooled off, snowed a bit, even if it was less than predicted. A heavy wet snow that should help with our extreme drought

It's been nearly too hot to walk this week, but I have a couple photos...
(Alfie: well, it is hot and one might think the mama would appreciate her poodle reminding her to stop and smell the roses! Of course while we stop I'll be smelling the trees and grass to check my pee-mail)
bird watching, rockin' robins!!!
The robins are back and pretty cheeky! They do not fear Alfie or me. Both of us like to watch them too
Alfie has discovered the ability to watch wild life from out back slider to the patio... bird watching has become one of his favorite hobbies, after eating, being petted, keeping watch on the Mama, playing keep away with his Kong ball in the back yard, and going for long walks.

I want to keep going at a high speed, so now when he stops, I stop and pull my abdomen in and practice good posture til he's done. Since it's been just over a week now, I am seeing him walk longer between sniffs
It's been a long time coming as the song says. Milo passed over a year ago. We think we've found the sweetest boy to join our family and help us love again. He is 20 months old, a standard poodle, very skinny at 50 lbs and such a gentleman.

winter gave us a pass this year. Pretty much temps mid 60's plus intense sun at high altitudes make it warmer during the days.... I start with a photo of my front porch (alas no snow on it)
I love photography and have continued to try art photos this week along my walks

with snow that melted in two days. Three days later the temps are in the 60;s in the sun headed to sustained heat. We might have had random warm days in the past winters but now
too warm all the time but for one or two days of cold. We looked forward to cold winters when we decided to move here.

Like most people I have traditional things, certain Quilts I always display, and if the year is like this one, very few come out....because anything that comes out will have to be put away ...
